I Campionati Italiani di Nuoto Master si disputeranno nel glorioso polo natatorio “Bruno Bianchi” di Trieste, Centro Federale che già in passato ha ospitato eventi eccellenti, come i Campionati Italiani e gli Europei in vasca corta, entrambi nel 2005. Dopo due anni di Ostia ed uno di Bari, l’evento iridato master ritorna finalmente, per alcuni, all’estremo nord Italia. Le gare si disputeranno dal 2 al 7 luglio, un giorno in meno dunque rispetto al programma gare visto nelle ultime quattro stagioni.

CAMPIONATI ITALIANI ASSOLUTI DI SCHERMA
Dal 30 maggio al 2 giugno – PalaTrieste – Trieste
Approdano per la prima volta a Trieste i CAMPIONATI ITALIANI ASSOLUTI DI SCHERMA, co-organizzati dalla Società Ginnastica Triestina con la Federazione Italiana Scherma e il supporto del Comitato Regionale e Provinciale del CONI. L’evento nazionale più importante dell’intero calendario agonistico si svolgerà in quattro intense giornate di grande spettacolo sportivo, offerto dai protagonisti della scherma italiana, che hanno rappresentato l’Italia sulle pedane olimpiche di Londra 2012.
Saranno presenti almeno 12 medagliati olimpici, per un totale di 25 medaglie conquistate, di cui 11 d’oro. Verranno disputate sia le prove individuali che quelle a squadre e, come tradizione della scherma, in concomitanza si svolgeranno anche i campionati italiani per disabili. Saranno gli Alpini a sostenere volontariamente il servizio sulle pedane per disabili.

Nelle giornate di martedì e giovedì, il collegamento turistico in motonave parte da Marano Lagunare, fa tappa a Lignano Sabbiadoro e, seguendo la linea di costa delle Lagune di Marano e Grado, ha come destinazione l’antica città romana di Aquileia (UD).Il collegamento turistico è gratuito e verrà effettuato tutti i martedì e giovedì dal 4 giugno al 26 settembre 2013, con due diversi orari di partenza, in modo da soddisfare tutte le esigenze.

ITALIAN FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Calling for the first time in Trieste the CAMPIONATI ITALIANI ASSOLUTI DI SCHERMA, co-organized by the Società Ginnastica Triestina along with the Italian Fencing Federation and the support of the Regional and Provincial Committee of CONI. This is the most important event of the entire national racing calendar and will take place over four days; an intense huge sporting extravaganza including the participation of the stars of Italian fencing, who represented Italy on the podium of the London Olympics 2012.
There will be at least 12 Olympic medalists, for a total of 25 medals won, 11 gold. There will be both individual and team events, as is the tradition in fencing, the Italian championships for the disabled will be held at the same time.

Prosegue la stagione di visite alla grotta Le Torri di Slivia, ad Aurisina Cave (Duino Aurisina – TS). Nota negli ambienti speleologici come una delle più affascinanti del Carso triestino, è stata recentemente attrezzata per le visite turistiche, illuminata e aperta al pubblico. Profonda oltre 100 metri e lunga 600, si sviluppa in vari ambienti, adornati da spettacolari stalattiti, cortine, tubolari e lampadari di pietra. Famose le sue grandi torri stalagmitiche, da cui la grotta prende il nome. La cavità è percorribile da visitatori in normali condizioni fisiche, senza bisogno di particolari attrezzature e lungo un sentiero con 200 gradini, illuminato e dotato di corrimano.

Until September 2013 – Rivolto Air Force Base (UD)
Once again visitors will be able to visit the Air Force Base of Rivolto, home of the Italian National Aerobatic Display Team the Frecce Tricolori. Visitors can discover all the secrets of aerobatic flying during these 3 hour long visits which also include film footage with the presence of AirForce personnel who will point out the characteristics of the planes, the flying techniques and the daily life on the Base. Particular attention will be paid to the equipment used by the pilots and there will also be the opportunity to see the Aermacchi MB339 up close, the aircraft in use by the Frecce Tricolore.

Venerdì1 marzo 2013 – Laghi di Fusine (UD)
Un’immersione tra i ghiacci con importanti finalità medico-scientifiche. In apnea sotto i ghiacci che si svolgerà ai laghi di Fusine il 1° marzo, dalle 11 alle 12. Sette ricercatori, 15 specialisti di sicurezza in acqua, 3 paramedici, 20 operatori, 150 studenti e 20 operatori vivranno da vicino queste prove di immersione sotto i ghiacci in apnea statica e apnea dinamica su cavo. Tramite queste esercitazioni, si possono dare risposte concrete agli incidenti che possono provocare mortalità in acqua fredda (seconda causa di morte per i ragazzi dai 4 ai 19 anni). E quale location migliore dei laghi di Fusine, dove le temperature in questo periodo sono rigidissime?

DEEP INSIDE EXTREME ICE
Friday 1st March 2013 – Laghi di Fusine (UD)
An immersion through the ice, for important medical-scientific purposes. Seven researchers, fifteen water safety specialists, three paramedics, twenty operators and one hundred and fifty students will be taking part in this immersion test under the ice of the lakes of Fusine using static apnoea and dynamic apnoea with cable on the 1st March between 11.00-12.00 hrs. Through this exercise the reasons for accidents that lead to death in cold water can be found (the second cause of death in young people from the ages 4 to 19 years old). Where better to undertake this feat than the frozen lakes of Fusine?

Every year in December, a cheerful and colourful procession celebrates the St. Nicholas’s rite, wearing long white beards and sacred vestments. Amongst the dozens of gleaming torches, St. Nicolas is followed in the procession by Krampus, yelling demons with cowbells hanging around their necks, forest creatures from local mountain traditions, believes, cults and myths. The grand Krampus exhibition takes place Saturday 1st December at 18.00 at Coccau (Tarvisio) at the Autoport. There will be over 250 Krampus from the local area, Austria and Slovenia.

Dopo aver percorso il “sentiero dell’arte” con numerose installazioni di arte contemporanea prodotte negli anni da “Postaja Topolove”, si procede fino a Livške Ravne, in Slovenia, attraversando poi il sentiero dei poeti: “Lapidi di pietra con incise le parole dei più famosi poeti delle guerre” per imboccare, infine, camminamenti e trincee della prima guerra mondiale sul monte Kolovrat e rientro a Topolò attraverso i borghi rurali del Comune di Drenchia.

Topolo – Kolovrat – Topolo Hike

This hike starts in the tiny hamlet of Topolo, Grimacco and passes through the “path of Art” where numerous installations of contemporary art are found and proceeds to Livske Ravne in Slovenia. Then through the “path of poets” where there are headstones inscribed with the words of famous poets and on to the restored trenches of WWI on Mt. Kolovrat, then returning to Topolo.

Joe Jackson

The only date in the north-east of this great English singer song-writer. On this tour he presents The Duke, an homage to Duke Ellington.
