Sabato 12 maggio – Parco del Cormor, Udine
Per preparare i fan e la città intera al grande concerto, l’Agenzia Turismo FVG ha organizzato per sabato 12 maggio una festa/evento presso il parco del Cormor di Udine durante cui si potrà godere di un ricco programma di attività in onore, ovviamente, della band californiana.
Si parte alle 18:00 con un ospite d’eccezione: il giornalista e saggista Joel McIver, autore di più di 20 libri (tra cui Cliff Burton. To live is to die. Vita e morte del bassista dei Metallica, Black Sabbath, La storia dei Motorhead) sulle più grandi leggende della musica hard, heavy e rock. In questa serata McIver presenterà la sua opera più famosa: “Justice for all: la verità sui Metallica”, in Italia pubblicata da Arcana Musica, ossia la dettagliata biografia della band che è stata tradotta in una decina di lingue in tutto il mondo.
A seguire si esibiranno gli ORION, una delle più quotate tribute band dei Metallica, a cui si unirà lo stesso Joel McIver (che è un bassista) per suonare alcuni brani. In apertura del segmento live si esibiranno anche i Dead Poets Society, una rock band emergente della zona.

Building up to the big day, the Tourist Office of Friuli Venezia Giulia has organised a big party for Saturday 12th May at the Parco del Cormor in Udine. There will be a rich and full programme to honour the Californian Band.
Beginning at 18:00 with an exceptional guest, the journalist and author Joel McIver. He has written over 20 books on the most legendary artists of rock including: “To live is to die. The life and death of Metallica’s Cliff Burton”, “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”, “Overkill: The Untold Story of Motorhead”. He will be presenting on stage his most famous piece of work, “Justice for all: The Truth about Metallica”, the detailed biography of the band, translated into over ten languages and published in Italy by Arcana Music. One of the best Metallica tribute bands, ORION will follow and will be joined by Joel McIver who is also a bass player. A up-and-coming local rock band, Dead Poets Society, will kick things off.

Io vivo a Venezia, e trovo qualsiasi scusa per evadere la massa di turisti che assaltano la città il weekend, nonché i ristoranti super cari. Quindi, quando degli amici mi hanno riferito di una rassegna gastronomica autunnale ” Invito a Pranzo” nelle Valli del Natisone, sul confine Sloveno, sono corso subito sul posto per esplorare uno degli angoli più intatti e conservati allo stato naturale, del nord Italia.
Nello stesso tempo, scopro una cucina regionale unica con prezzi veramente convenienti.

Ogni weekend i buongustai vengono da tutta Italia incapaci di ignorare la tentazione di un tranquillo pranzo che si dilunga per tre o quattro ore, specialmente quando il prezzo fisso del “menu di degustazione di circa 10 portate” è soltanto € 23,00.
Ogni anno partecipano una dozzina di trattorie ed osterie alla rassegna dell’Invito a Pranzo, ma sono aperte tutta la settimana, questo menu e’ disponibile solo di venerdì, sabato e domenica da ottobre fino a dicembre ed è obbligatorio prenotare.

Alcuni ristoranti hanno stanze disponibili o B&B quindi e’ facile organizzare un weekend lungo dove puoi non solo mangiare ma anche fare delle escursioni a piedi o in mountain bike, andare a pescare o andare a raccogliere funghi.

Le valli del Natisone sono una zona montuosa che divide l’Italia dalla Slovenia.
Arrivare è facile in quanto l’autostrada collega Udine, la capitale nobile della regione, con le città di Venezia, Treviso e Trieste le quali offrono collegamenti di voli low-cost con il Regno Unito.

Un breve tragitto in macchina da Udine ci porta all’antica città romana di Cividale del Friuli (Forum Iulii), dove le cose iniziano a complicarsi. I segni stradali, quando sono presenti, sono in Italiano e Sloveno, e gli indirizzi dei ristoranti partecipanti all’Invito a Pranzo non danno dettagli precisi della loro locazione in piccolissimi borghi nascosti nei boschi. E’ impossibile non perdersi – il Satnav non funziona qui – e tante strade serpeggianti finiscono in vicoli ciechi oppure ti portano dall’altra parte del confine, in Slovenia.

La mia prima tappa fu alla Trattoria Alla Posta (+39 0432 725000) situata nel paesino di Clodig, dove la strada costeggia il fiume Cosizza, passando accanto ad austere case contadine in pietra. Appena fuori il villaggio il fiume si allarga, con una isoletta nel mezzo occupata da una statua bianco luminoso della madonna. Probabilmente ci sono da 30 a 40 abitanti a Clodig, ma ci sono altrettante macchine parcheggiate davanti alla Posta. Questa trattoria è un tempio gastronomico della cucina casalinga, con Maria Gilda Primosig che crea piatti meritevoli delle stelle Michelin. Usa prodotti autunnali in un modo splendido – cinghiale e cervo, tarassaco e castagne, porcini e radicchio – poi produce le sue ricette, aggiungendo erbe selvatiche che raccoglie nelle bosco circostante.

La sua zuppa di castagne e porcini è indimenticabile. I suoi “blecs” (pasta di grano saraceno) sono aromatizzati con le ortiche, il suo risotto è abbinato ai mirtilli mentre un effetto “shock” viene percepito durante lo scioglimento in bocca del primo morso del suo strudel – il ripieno è di pere e zucca.

I Piatti di Maria sono cosi freschi e sorprendenti che mi fa pensare al clamore sui media sui nuovi metodi di cucina Scandinava pilotati dal (il pioniere), Ristorante Noma a Copenhagen; a differenza che qui, nessuno segue un trend e nemmeno i blogs cullinari, ma bensì usano semplicemente prodotti stagionali e emissioni-zero in maniera davvero creativa.

L’idillico Albergo Ristorante Alla Trota (via Specognis 10, Pulfero, +39 0432 726006, www.allatrota.com, camere doppia 60 euro) e’ situato sull’orlo dello stesso fiume Natisone La sua specialità, naturalmente, e’ la trota di questo fiume, cotta nel forno con erbe aromatiche e servita con polenta. La proprietaria e chef e’ Patrizia Marinig, che una volta era la maestra della scuola locale finchè non ha comperato La Trota, trasformandolo dal negozio del paese in una trattoria e albergo a conduzione familiare. Marinig è la presidente dell’ Invito a Pranzo da oltre 10 anni, e mi ha raccontato che ogni autunno l’evento attrae sempre più visitatori. Il fatto non sorprende quando il suo menù propone una degustazione di 10 portate per soli € 23,00. Il vino non e’ incluso, ma un litro del vino di casa, sorprendentemente buono, costa solo 9 euro, e alla fine del pasto, alcuni bicchieri del digestivo locale, un brandy di prugne con carattere, sono offerti dalla casa.

Il pranzo alla Trota e’ servito all’esterno su una terrazza con una vista panoramica del fiume e le montagne di pini, e anche se la maggior parte dei tavoli sono occupati da visitatori, questo e’ anche veramente un bar di paese. Un tavolo e’ messo a disposizione dei paesani che passano il pomeriggio giocando a carte vivacemente. Nessun paesano parla in Italiano ma preferisce parlare in Sloveno (il dialetto locale si intende). Questo fatto lo vedo un po’ come uno “shock culturale”.

Proseguendo in macchina nelle montagne alte che circondano L’Albergo alla Trota, piccoli villaggi appaiono nel mezzo del bosco – poche case, un panificio che vende il famoso dolce locale, la “Gubana”, e un altro accogliente locale che partecipa a questa rassegna.
Osteria all’Antica a Cras (+39 0432 709052, www.osteriallantica.com) ha un giardino fiorito favoloso e d’estate dispone di una terrazza lungo il fiume, ma in autunno, i clienti preferiscono sedersi attorno ad una tavola all’interno, seduti vicino o attorno alla stufa, dove una pentola di polenta si sta cucinando lentamente, pronta per essere servita con uno saporito spezzatino di cinghiale.

Non aspettatevi troppo, riguardo i pranzi da buongustaio, alla semplice ma amichevole Trattoria Ai Buoni Amici (via Tarcetta 76, Pulfero, + 39 0432 709164), mentre l’Enoteca ai Trevi di San Pietro al Natisone (via Alpe Adria 118, San Pietro Al Natisone, + 39 0432 727454) serve solo formaggi e salame locale, tuttavia ha una cantina di vini locali eccezionali.

Per un’ ultima fermata, non potevo fare a meno di pranzare al Sale e Pepe a Stregna ( Via Capoluogo 19, Stregna +39 0432 724118), non fa più parte della rassegna – qualcosa che ha che fare con la politica locale – ma è rinomato per la cucina altamente originale dello chef Teresa Covaceuszach. Stregna è situata proprio sul confine Sloveno, e il posto ti fa sentire come alla fine del mondo, ma, aperta la porta, entri in una sala da pranzo accogliente ed elegante, dove Teresa trasforma strane ricette Italo-Slovene in piatti gourmet. Bizna è una minestra ricca di patate, fagioli e brovada (rape acide), mentre l’anatra selvatica è arrostita con cioccolata e cannella. Dimenticate la tradizionale Gubana come dessert perchè la specialità della case è la versione di creme brulee di Teresa che lascia la cucina annebbiata di profumati sbuffi di fumo.

Tornando in macchina a Venezia da Sale e Pepe, ho la sensazione di lasciare una curiosa terra di nessuno e di ritornare in Italia.

VISITA IL SENTIERO MATAJUR (Savogna) 1641 m – La montagna simbolo della Valli del Natisone
Domenica 15 aprile, ore 13:00 – ritrovo Rifugio Pelizzo (Savogna)
Il Matajur è eccezionale dal punto di vista della flora, della storia e del panorama che si espande dal golfo di Trieste alla laguna di Grado, dalla pianura Friulana alle Dolomiti, dalle Alpi alle Prealpi Giulie. Lungo le sue pendici: le Valli del Natisone, la Valle dell’Isonzo (Slovenia) e le loro acque. E’ il più probabile fra i monti sul quale il Re Longobardo Alboino, come racconta Paolo Diacono, sia salito per contemplare di lá l’Italia, meta delle sue imprese. Inoltre per la sua cima passa da secoli il confine politico, prima quello della Repubblica Veneta, poi quello del Regno d’Italia e infine della Cortina di Ferro. Sulla cima del monte spicca la chiesetta del Cristo Redentore, costruita sulle macerie della cappella inaugurata nel 1901 per ricordare i diciannove secoli dalla Redenzione. Il Matajur, nel corso della prima guerra mondiale, fece parte della linea di difesa italiana. Il monte passò alla storia in quanto, nel corso della dodicesima battaglia dell’Isonzo (la cosidetta disfatta di Caporetto), il tenente E. Rommel, il futuro feldmaresciallo, ne conquistò la cima. Saremo accolti nella “casa” di incontro delle genti del mondo Slavo e Latino: la Koča: Dom Na Matajure dell’Associazione alpinistica della minoranza slovena Planinska Druzina Benecije. Raggiungeremo le malghe di Mersino che con la loro latteria sono testimoni di alpeggi, di lavoro duro accompagnato da suoni, canti, di richiami di ogni genere: I bambini e gli anziani pascolavano le mucche; gli uomini e le donne si dedicavano alla fienagione. Al rientro al Rifugio G. Pelizzo la sapiente cucina di Isabella ci accoglierà con un menù tipico.

Si aprirà il 20 aprile la quattordicesima edizione del Far East Film Festival di Udine, che in 9 giornate di programmazione presenterà nuovissime pellicole dall’estremo oriente.
Anche quest’anno il Festival sta cercando nuovi volontari. Per aiutare nell’organizzazione del più grande evento dedicato al cinema popolare asiatico, è necessario inoltrare la propria candidatura a volontari.feff@cecudine.org. Comune denominatore dei due artisti sono le vibranti tonalità di colore che si concretizzano negli interni fatati di Matteo Bergamasco, che aprono la mente a mondi surreali e bizzarri – quasi esoterici, e negli esterni di William Marc Zanghi, che ritrae panorami al limite tra il fantastico e il reale.

Mount Matajur is an exceptional place with regards to flora, history and its magnificent views. The panorama from here extends down to the gulf of Trieste to the lagoon of Grado, from the plains of Friuli to the Dolomites, from the Pre-Julian Alps to the Alps. Found along its slopes are the Natisone & Isonzo (Slovenia) Valleys.
It is probably the mountain mentioned by the famous Longobard historian, Paolo Diacono, when he writes about the mountain where the Longobard King, Alboino, climbed and contemplated his goal, Italy. Furthermore, the peak has been for centuries a political border, firstly with the Venetian Republic, then with the Kingdom of Italy and finally with the Iron Curtain. The little chapel of Christ the Redeemer is perched on the peak. It was built on the ruins of the previous chapel inaugurated in 1901 in remembrance of the nineteen centuries of redemption. During the first World War, Mt. Matajur was part of the Italian line of defence. Lieutenant Rommel (the future Field Marshal under Hitler) planned the 12th Battle of Caporetto (The Fall of Caporetto). Hikers will be met in the Koca, the traditional meeting place. This lovely mountain refuge is run by Planiska Druzina Benecija, the Alpine Association of the local people of the Slovenian minority. From here we will walk to the dairys/cow sheds of Mersino. This was once an area that in summer was full of families tending cows: children and elders would herd the cattle while the men and women would make hay. The work was hard but joyous sounds of singing could often be heard.
On our return to the mountain refuge, Rifugio Pelizzo, we will be met by the very able cook Isabella who will welcome us with her menu of local delicacies.

The common denominator between these two artists is their vibrant use of colour
revealed in Matteo Bergamasco’s internal compositions which open up your mind to surreal and bizarre worlds and in William Marc Zanghi’s external compositions which portray views of worlds on the edge of reality and a fantasy world.

This era merits re-visiting in closer detail and without prejudice.

L’associazione dotART porta a Trieste “Art Confession”, mostra itinerante di opere fotografiche e digital art provenienti dall’est Europa (Russia, Lettonia, Lituania, Israele).
Art Confession nasce in Russia nel 2009 dalla collaborazione tra gli artisti Pavel Kuznecov, Larisa Kulik e Vladimir Fedotko, ai quali si sono uniti nel tempo altri artisti esteuropei. Lo stile che emerge in Art Confession non è facilmente catalogabile. La mostra denota una completa libertà di espressione creativa da parte degli artisti, che risultano accomunati solo da un approccio molto personale alle proprie opere. Tra le loro fonti d’ispirazione si scorgono i pittori Fiamminghi, Giuseppe Arcimboldo e Salvador Dalí.
Art Confession ha già fatto tappa alla galleria Art Hall a Viborg, a San Pietroburgo presso l’Università tecnologica statale, alla galleria Mr. Baker e presso Vinzavod.

The well-established Review, curated by expert Lucia Castellano, will host works of art of considerable artistic relevance, originating from both within and without the region. The materials used in the creation of the 80 Holy Representations on display are varied and highly innovative: wood, tree bark, stone, feathers, mosaics, natural or recyclable materials, iron and much more still. Their sizes and technical construction are also highly varied.

Exposition – “The Maestros of the 20th Century – The Portrayal of the Human Figure in Friuli Venezia Giulia”
Until the 18th of March 2012 – Palazzo de Nordis, Piazza Duomo, Cividale del Friuli (Udine Province)
With images of the greatest artists of the 20th Century, this event exhibits the culture, the thinking, the identity and the society of our land. In a veritable journey, the exhibition will present the evolution of the portrayal of the human figure (man and his condition) in various parts of the Region from the beginning of the 20th Century up until contemporary trends, explored with the participation of artists from a variety of generations. A leading theme of this exposition is the evolution of the portrayal of the human figure, both naturalistically and conceptually throughout the 20th Century, ranging from the portrait to the relationship between man and the contemporary world.
The exposition, organised by Alessandro Fontanini, was conceived as the “natural continuation” of “Maestros of Landscape: Protagonists of the 20th Century in Friuli Venezia Giulia”, held in 2010, and is intended to capitalise on the success of this last. The biennial cycle on the 20th Century thus presents a coherent theme over the two events held respectively in 2010 and 2012 in the town of Cividale del Friuli within the panorama of important regional events.

International exposition “Art Confession”
Until the 31st of January 2012, Bar Alla Transalpina – Riva Grumula 4 – Trieste
The cultural association dotART brings “Art Confession” to Trieste, an exposition featuring artistic photography and digital art originating from eastern Europe (Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Israel).
Art Confession has its origins in Russia in 2009, resulting from a collaboration between the artists Pavel Kuznecov, Larisa Kulik and Vladimir Fedotko, who were later joined by other artists from eastern Europe. The style which emerges in Art Confession is not easily categorised. The exposition displays complete freedom of creative expression on the part of the artists, who are thus united only by a very personal approach to their respective works. Among their sources of inspiration figure the painters Fiamminghi, Giuseppe Arcimboldo and Salvador Dalí.
Art Confession has already been presented at the Art Hall Gallery in Viborg, in St. Petersburg at the State Technical University, at the Mr. Baker Gallery and in Vinzavod.

Entry to the second edition of the Trieste Photography Competition – the City and its Surroundings are now being accepted. The competition is promoted by a cultural association from Trieste known as dotART, with support offered by the Province of Trieste. The competition aims to promote and positively present the City of Trieste, its surrounding territories and their multi-faceted nature – history, art, nature, food and wine – describing through artistic photography the landscapes, glimpses, faces, objects and moments of everyday life in Trieste and its Province. To take part and submit your own photographs you need simply follow the procedure described at the website http://www.dotart.it/trieste. The photographs must be sent in by the 8th of January 2012. The total prize money is €1,500.

Trieste Science + Fiction 2011 – Festival della fantascienza
Dal 10 al 13 novembre 2011 – Cinecity – Trieste
Undicesima edizione del prestigioso festival organizzato dalla Cappella Underground. L’ospite speciale della rassegna sarà George A. Romero, uno dei maggiori registi e sceneggiatori horror di sempre, autore del seminale La notte dei morti viventi e padre indiscusso degli zombie. Sarà nelle sale di S+F per ricevere il premio Urania d’Argento, il tradizionale riconoscimento alla carriera.
Tra gli altri ospiti i Manetti Bros., che presenteranno il loro ultimo lungometraggio, e il fumettista Gipi, che presenterà L’Ultimo Terrestre, il suo film d’esordio. E poi naturalmente spazio ai numerosi film in programma, provenienti da tutto il mondo.

Il cantautore spiega cosi la scelta di suonare in questi spazi: “Voglio andare in giro in quei posti dove passa la musica più viva, dove c’è un pubblico speciale, non addomesticato. Dopo tanti teatri, dopo un bagno di velluti rossi, sento il bisogno di una dimensione più ‘disordinata’.”

Mostra ESPRESSIONISMO
Fino al 4 marzo 2012 – Villa Manin di Passariano
Per la prima volta in Italia un’esposizione, curata da Magdalena Moeller e Marco Goldin e forte di oltre 100 opere tra dipinti e carte, tutte provenienti dal berlinese Brücke Museum, racconta in modo preciso, secondo una scansione cronologica ma anche procedendo per aree quasi monografiche, da Kirchner a Heckel, da Nolde a Schmidt-Rottluff, da Pechstein a Mueller, la nascita e lo sviluppo del movimento denominato “Die Brücke”, la pietra fondante dell’Espressionismo.
La mostra avrà luogo a Villa Manin e si pone come terza tappa del progetto pluriennale, ideato e curato da Marco Goldin, denominato “Geografie dell’Europa”.

Trieste Science + Fiction 2011 – Science Fiction Festival
From the 10th to the 13th of November 2011 – Cinecity – Trieste
The eleventh instalment of this prestigious festival, organised by Cappella Underground, boasts special guest George A. Romero, one of the most important horror directors of all time, maker of The Night of the Living Dead and undisputed father of the zombie. At the festival he will be awarded the Urania d’Argento prize, the traditional career recognition award.
Among the other guests will be the Manetti Bros., who will present their latest feature film, and the comic strip artist Gipi, who will present his debut film L’Ultimo Terrestre (“The Last Man on Earth”). Plus the numerous films from all over the world which feature in the programme.

EXPRESSIONISM Exhibition
Until the 4th of March 2012 – Villa Manin at Passariano
The exposition, directed by Magdalena Moeller and Marco Goldin and with over 100 works by the Berlin artist Brücke, for the first time in Italy, exhibits in a precise way, both according to a timeline and proceeding according to areas which are almost monographic, from Kirchner to Heckel, from Nolde to Schmidt-Rottluff, from Pechstein to Mueller, the birth and growth of the movement named “Die Brücke”, at the very foundation of Expressionism.
The exhibition will take place at Villa Manin and is proposed as the third instalment of Marco Goldin’s long term project “Geography of Europe”.

Ottobre a Trieste è sinonimo di Barcolana, la storica regata velica europea, nata nel 1969 per iniziativa della Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano. Ogni anno più di duemila vele si assiepano nel golfo triestino per una regata unica nel suo genere nonché la gara con il maggior numero di partecipanti: circa 25mila velisti e un totale di 250mila persone.
Ma la regata è solo il culmine di un’intera settimana di festa, sport e cultura che coinvolge l’intera città con numerosi eventi collegati.

Barcolana Music Festival 2011
7-8 ottobre – Piazza Unità d’Italia
La tradizionale due giorni di concerti rock e pop di livello nazionale ed internazionale nell’incantevole cornice di Piazza Unità, ad ingresso gratuito.
Venerdì 7 è la volta di uno degli artisti tra i più amati delle scene musicali britanniche: il carismatico cantante DAN BLACK, ex frontman dei The Servant, dei Planet Funk. A seguire il live dei THE GO! TEAM, il celebre gruppo indie-dance-funk inglese con base a Brighton che ha conquistato le scene planetarie nel 2004 con l’album Thunder Lightning Strike. In apertura di serata si esibiranno i MiG-29 over Disneyland, emergente gruppo regionale che mescola punk, dance e reggae.
Il grande protagonista della serata musicale di sabato 8 sarà RAF, il poliedrico cantautore che ha segnato e continua a segnare pagine indelebili nella storia della canzone italiana. A scaldare gli animi del pubblico ci penseranno l’emergente trio BIVIO H e l’amatissima DORINA, grande protagonista alle fasi finali dell’ultimo X Factor.

Barcolana Jazz
30 settembre – 9 Ottobre
Nuovissima rassegna a ingresso gratuito che va a impreziosire ulteriormente l’offerta culturale della Barcolana estendendola all’intero tessuto cittadino, dalle Rive a via San Nicolò passando per piazza Cavana, piazza Hortis, fino ad arrivare alla fine di via Torino. Una serie di “stazioni musicali” ospiteranno, a partire dal tardo pomeriggio del 30 settembre e del 1 ottobre, i concerti di alcuni tra i gruppi jazz più interessanti e vivaci della regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, alternandoli a nomi di spicco del panorama internazionale come la cantante afrocubana Jayla Brown. Suoneranno tra gli altri Barcolana Brass Marching Band, B.F. Dixieland Jazz Band e Musique Boutique.

Speciale Barcolana 2011

1st – 9th of October 2011 – Trieste
October in Trieste is synonymous with the Barcolana, the historic European sailing regatta which, first run by the Barcola and Grignano Sailing Society, has been held in the Gulf of Trieste since 1969. Every year over 2000 sails crowd together in the Gulf for a truly unique regatta, not to mention the regatta with the highest number of participants: approximately 25 thousand sailors and a total of 250 thousand people.
But the regatta is merely the peak of an entire week of festivities, sport and culture which involves the entire city with numerous linked events.

Barcolana Music Festival 2011
7th – 8th October – Piazza Unità d’Italia
The traditional two days of rock and pop concerts with national and international artists in the enchanting setting of Piazza Unità, with free entry.
On Friday the 7th it is the turn of one of the most loved artists of the British music scene: the charismatic singer DAN BLACK, ex-frontman of the The Servant and of Planet Funk. Following this there will be the live performance by THE GO! TEAM, the celebrated English indie-dance-funk group from Brighton who conquered the world music scene with their 2004 album Thunder Lightning Strike. Opening the evening will be MiG-29 over Disneyland, fresh new talent from the region who mix punk, dance and reggae.
The big act of the evening on Saturday the 8th will be RAF, the eclectic singer-songwriter who has left and continues to leave his ineffaceable mark on the history of Italian music. Taking care of the warm up will be the new trio BIVIO H and the much loved DORINA, a serious contender at the final stages of the latest X-Factor series.

Barcolana Jazz
30th September – 9th October
A brand new offering at the Barcolana festival with free entry which further enriches the cultural pickings to be had, extending throughout the entire fabric of the city, from the seafront at Via San Nicolò, passing through Piazza Cavana, Piazza Hortis, arriving finally at the end of Via Torino. A series of “music stations” will host, from late afternoon on the 30th of September and on the 1st of October, jazz concerts from a few of the most interesting and lively groups in the region, alternating with leading figures of the international jazz scene such as the afro-Cuban singer Jayla Brown. Among others playing are the Barcolana Brass Marching Band, the B.F. Dixieland Jazz Band and the group Musique Boutique.
