Il tour europeo, iniziato pochi giorni fa da Siviglia, è quello del nuovo disco di inediti Wrecking Ball, uscito lo scorso marzo. Come al solito, è lecito aspettarsi dal boss un live lungo e intenso dalla scaletta imprevedibile, che percorrerà tutta la sua carriera.

CHRIS CORNELL – Songbook Tour @ UDIN&JAZZ 2012
Lunedì 25 Giugno 2012 – Castello – Udine
Chris Cornell, il leader dei Soundgarden, farà a Udine l’unica tappa nel Nordest Italia del suo tour acustico. La scaletta prevede brani delle band di cui Cornell ha fatto parte nella sua straordinaria carriera artistica: Soundgarden, Audioslave e Temple of The Dog. Sarà un’occasione unica per ascoltare queste canzoni in un contesto totalmente nuovo che metterà in luce la profondità dell’artista e la sua abilità nel songwriting.

MOSTRA “NEREO ROCCO. LA LEGGENDA DEL PARÒN”

Nel centenario della nascita di un allenatore che ha siglato la storia del calcio italiano, la sua città – Trieste – gli dedica una grande mostra intessuta di ricordi, aneddoti, oggetti, filmati d’epoca e mille altre suggestioni. Allestita a cent’anni esatti dalla nascita di Rocco, che si è festeggiata domenica 20 maggio 2012. Un allestimento multimediale e fortemente emozionale curato da uno dei più autorevoli biografi del “Paròn”, il giornalista Gigi Garanzini. La mostra sarà un modo per raccontare il calcio, dai tempi del Paròn ad oggi: fotografie, scritti, dediche, appunti … lo storico dialogo fra Celentano e Nereo Rocco, dopo il derby Milan-Inter del ’68, le maglie, i documenti d’epoca e persino la pipa donata da Sandro Pertini ad Enzo Bearzot, dopo i mondiali ’82.
Non c’è sportivo italiano, probabilmente, che non conservi impressa nel cuore l’immagine del giovane Cesare Maldini, mentre, nel mitico stadio di Wembley – correva l’anno 1963 – leva al cielo la prima coppa europea vinta da un club italiano: il Milan di Nereo Rocco.

Simposio internazionale di Scultura su Pietre del Friuli Venezia Giulia
Dal 15 al 30 giugno 2012 – Reana del Roiale (UD)
Lo scopo della manifestazione è quello di promuovere e mettere a confronto, nell’ambito di un’esperienza artistica comunitaria, scultori di fama e di diversa provenienza che, per l’occasione, scolpiranno le pietre e marmi della Regione e tutto questo a contatto con il pubblico. I dieci artisti, infatti, plasmeranno a cielo aperto dei grossi blocchi di pietra fino a farne emergere delle opere d’arte, specchio del genio dell’artista che liberamente ha scelto il tema dell’opera. A simposio ultimato, tutte le opere monumentali realizzate verranno trasportate in mostra, come per le precedenti edizioni, nel giardino gentilizio e parco di Villa Manin di Passariano.

Kries – Falò di San Giovanni

Nelle Valli del Natisone la notte del 23 giugno si illumina di fuochi: è l’antica festa del solstizio d’estate, nel corso della quale il kries (faló) prolunga nella notte la luce del giorno più lungo dell’anno.
Con l’avvento del Cristianesimo la ricorrenza pagana é stata dedicata a San Giovanni, ma ha mantenuto intatto il suo significato, assieme alle pratiche legate a questo particolare momento dell’anno; tra queste la confezione di križaci e krancelni con i fiori di campo, la “divinazione” del futuro con il bianco dell’uovo, l’uso della rugiada benefica raccolta all’alba.

KRIES – BONFIRE OF ST.JOHN

On the 23rd June, the feast day of St.John, numerous bonfires are lit in the various villages of the Natisone Valleys and in Slovenia to celebrate the summer solstice and to lengthen the night of the longest day of the year.There are many traditions linked to this recurrence in the days leading up to the 23rd: the making of krizaci and krancelni (crosses and wreathes of St.John) with wild flowers picked from the surrounding fields; the divination with the white of eggs; the gathering of the morning dew.

It will be a unique opportunity to hear these songs in a totally new and different context, highlighting the depth of this artist and his song writing ability.

“NEREO ROCCO. THE LEGEND OF THE PARON” EXHIBITION
Until 31st July 2012 – Porto Vecchio, Magazzino 26 – Trieste
To celebrate the hundred years since the birth of one of the most successful managers in Italian football, his home city of Trieste dedicates this important exhibition full of memories, anecdotes, objects, archive films and many other interesting things. It opened exactly 100 years after the his birth on 20th May 2012. This multimedial content of this exhibition makes for a very emotional experience and has been over-seen by one of the Paron’s most authoritative biographers, the journalist Gigi Garanzini. The exhibition will recount how football was in the Paron’s reign up until current times with photos, essays, dedications, notes, the famous dialogue between Celentano and Nero Rocco after the Milan-Inter derby of ’68, the shirts, historical documents and even the pipe given to Enzo Bearzot by President Sandro Pertini after the Italian
victory at the World Cup in 1982. There probably isn’t an Italian sports lover who doesn’t hold a special place in his heart for the image of Cesare Maldini at the legendary Wembley Stadium in 1963, holding up with pride the first Europen Cup won by an Italian team: the Milan team of Nereo Rocco.

INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF STONE SCULPTURES OF FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA

The aim of this event is to promote and to compare, within this artistic community, well-known sculptors from various places. In this event they will sculpt live in front of the public using stone and marble from this Region. The ten artists will in fact shape large blocks of stone into works of art,in the open: each artist choosing a theme of their choice. When all works have been finished, they will be taken to the park of Villa Manin in Passariano where they will be exhibited.

The First World War – Rommel’s Way
